Spring Wind Storms

Every spring the north country gets wind storms, and
it gets especially bad when you are near the river.
The winds knock down tree
limbs, rip off road signs, and tip over big trucks on
I-81. They even have to close the 1000 Island bridge
because it starts to sway in the wind and vehicles
could get blown off of it. Every year while the snow is
still on the ground in patches, we have to start spring
clean up. All of our old pine and willow trees make a
huge mess, and it takes weeks for us to get all of the
branches picked up.
