In the early summer one of the owls that frequents Pinehurst was found on the porch of #12. He was acting like his wing was hurt and he was in a daze, letting us walk close to him and not trying to get away. We called the D.E.C. and a couple of wildlife officers came and took him to a clinic where he was treated. The folks at the clinic said he was a baby great horned owl, and as soon as he was well they would take him to a rehabilitation center and release him back to the area.
